Archives of key public institutions and all States of Jersey departments, including the States Greffe, Education, Immigration and Health and Social Services.
There are many important records within this collection to help the family historian. The Education Department records include log books and admission registers for the Island’s Schools, as well as institutions such as the Industrial School for Boys.
The Health and Social Services collection includes admission records for the General Hospital which functioned as both a medical hospital and poor house in the 19th century as well as St Saviour’s Hospital case records.
The prison records include a Transportation register, debtors prison and general prisoner admission registers which are also a useful resource.
