Sound recording of Harry Baudains speaking about the Occupation and the years after. He was interviewed on 08/10/2004 by Stuart Nicolle for the Liberation to Coronation Oral History Project. Mr Baudains speak about the last weeks of the occupation, the Kings speech, electricity cuts, the celebrations in Liberation square, having a radio, the Royal Visit, his time at Victoria College before and after the liberations, the farming before, during and after the Occupation, the horse drawn equipment during the war and machineries after the war, having a lorry, collecting seaweed on the beaches, an attempted escape to England, going to town during the occupation, participating in activities with the Young Farmers Club, going to Germany and Austria, his involvement with the Battle of Flowers, joining the honorary police, the international road race, the death of the king and the coronation, television, the clean up of the island, school sports, the draught of '47 and the transport and selling of tomatoes.

Sound recording of Mervyn Billot speaking about the Occupation and the years after. He was interviewed on 12/11/2004 by Stuart Nicolle for the Liberation to Coronation Oral History Project. Mr Billot speak of being in the Royal Navy during the Liberation and his family, who lived throught the occupation, of being sick and brought back to England, of waiting a month to go back to Jersey because of restrictions and shortages on the island, and of visiting the island and seeing the bunkers and germans fortifications. He talks about foods, being on leave on the island, the first potato crops, going back to England before being de-mobbed, working on his fathers farm, going to the Hampshire County Farm Institute and his schooling, farm work after the war with the machineries, the farm workers, the exportation of potatoes and tomatoes crops, using a lorry to bring the crop to town, the political changes in the States, the Jersey Democratic Party, the Jersey Young Farmers club, the entertainment post-Occupation and the tourism.

She was interviewed on 10/03/2005 by Stuart Nicolle for the Liberation to Coronation Oral History Project. Mrs Le Ruez speaks about hiding crystal set during the occupation, the anticipation leading up to liberation, the clean up of the mines, the germans leaving, going back to farming potatoes, going to school and then helping on the farm, the glut of tomatoes, moving to St Mary's, the lobser industry at Rozel, the Young Farmers Club, cattle shows, the increase in tourism, buses and taxis, the farm workers, the shared threshing machine, going shopping, the milk distribution, living on a farm with rationing after the war, the making of black butter, the visit of princess Elizabeth, foot and mouth disease, the colorado beetle, the death of the King, how she met her husband and their honeymoon, the insurance scheme and sand racing.

She was interviewed on 24/11/2004 by Geraldine des Forges for the Liberation to Coronation Oral History Project. Mrs Perchard speaks about her family situation during the occupation, hearing the news on the radio and passing it on, cycling to the Jersey College for Girls, going to town for the celebration, cattle shows after the war, making money with the tomatoes, buying a tractor, the world jersey cattle bureau, the royal visits, how the shortages did not affect them much on the farm, the work on the farm, the young farmers club and its activities, the cattle shows, the Jersey cows, the outbreak of foot and mouth disease, the farm workers who helped with the potatoes and tomatoes, the colorado beetles, the changes in the Parish life, the way of life for a farmer, the increase in tourism, the activities available for Jersey visitors, the changes in the States, the importance of milk and its production, the start of refrigeration, Elizabeth and Philips visits, seeing the coronation on Pathe news, the visit of Montgomery, the sand racing and hill climbing, setting up her compagny, her involvement with the world bureau, the sports they played at school, the fashion for long skirts, being the mascot for the Rozel Rovers, and her fathers health.
