Indenture between George Carterett, Comptroller of His Majesty's Navy of the first party and Stephen La Cloche, Minister of the second party. Records that 1 has granted to 2 full power and authority to build a watermill in the Fief des Meleches or Grainville and also seigneurial rights on lands the adjoining and adjacent to his houses. 1 also agrees not to build any mills to grind corn on the fiefs of Meleches and Grainville. In consideration 2 grants to 1 all the rights that he has to the game of Haire Cunneys in the Fiefs of Meleches, though not on the property of 2, and the Fief de L'Abbey de Bellozanne and to pay a yearly rent of a Red Rose in the midsummer week. 2 is also obliged to build a watermill that will grind all corn within seven years.
