Mr Bouchere speaks about the days leading up to Liberation and the disbelief of peoplet, the realisation that the Germans were defeated, the arrival of the British Navy on Liberation Day, taking German equipment, having a bicycle, the clear up operation, sending the Germans to England, the food coming in to the Island, the Red Cross clothes, working at a garage during the war, converting cars to wood gas, finding petrol where you could, new cars coming in after the War, how the cars were shipped and delivered and the role of the garage.

Mrs Le Feuvre speaks about going to Royal Square on Liberation day, the joy in the air, the Germans leaving, people going to the Underground Hospital, the dances after Liberation, the Russian prisoners, shortages, preparing her wedding trousseau, going to London on her honeymoon and seeing the bombsites, comparing London to Jersey after the war, the Insular Insurance scheme, the foot and mouth disease, televisions, the Royal wedding, the evacuees and their return, the cattles, the vegetables crop, farm work and its mechanisation, working at La Masuriers, being the first woman constable, the political reform and the elections, various shops in town, the home deliveries of various products, the district nurses, the difference in her house between then and now, the increase in tourism, the battle of flowers and the fair, the official visits of the king and queen, of Prince Edward and of field Marshall Montgomery, The Muratti, motorbike racing and various houses and persons on the race track, horse show, cattle show, going to the beaches, cinemas, the West Park Pavilion, the arrival of the street lighting in St Lawrence, the death of the king and the coronation.

Mrs Le Ruez speaks about hiding crystal set during the occupation, the anticipation leading up to liberation, the clean up of the mines, the germans leaving, going back to farming potatoes, going to school and then helping on the farm, the glut of tomatoes, moving to St Mary's, the lobser industry at Rozel, the Young Farmers Club, cattle shows, the increase in tourism, buses and taxis, the farm workers, the shared threshing machine, going shopping, the milk distribution, living on a farm with rationing after the war, the making of black butter, the visit of princess Elizabeth, foot and mouth disease, the colorado beetle, the death of the King, how she met her husband and their honeymoon, the insurance scheme and sand racing.

Mrs Rimeur speaks about the British Soldiers, the cleaning process, her wedding dress and cake, her wedding day, how the first years were hard, the children were small, the farm animals, the farm workers, the harsh temperature, she describes a typical day on the farm, her husband cutting bracken, visiting her family in a lorry because they did not have a car, the foot and mouth disease, the colorado beetles, the feeling of a community, the cattle shows, the home deliveries of various services, the tourism boom, the death of the king and socialising inside a parish.
