Mr Buesnel speaks about the first days of the Occupation, seeing a plane for the first time, seeing the German soldiers, the restriction on farming produce, the raids on the farms for produce, the Germans taking some machine like the lorries, his time at the Grouville school, at the beginning and the end of the Occupation, the greenhouses, the relationships with the Germans, the slave workers, the Organisation Todt, the Russian camps, the buses, radios, collaborations, trading, the bombing before the liberations, food and ressources shortage, stealing, the deportations, stealing from empty houses, the arrival of the 'Tommies', the dumping of German equipment, people trying to escape the island and girls going out with Germans.
