Image of Deputy Greffier Mr R F Renault showing documents discovered in a storeroom under the Royal Court to an Evening Post representative. The documents found included pardons granted to prisoners by Queen Victoria, and papers relating to Baron de Rullecourt, the French commander defeated by Major Peirson at the Battle of Jersey [see JWP 18/10/1952 p 1]. Negative number 49 of Museum Subject Box number 1 of the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive. The negative was scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as a high quality jpg file. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
