Image of Roy Horsfall, Captain of Jersey Swimming Club receiving his Jersey Humane Society bronze medal from the Lieutenant Governor Gereral Sir George Erskine, at Inter Insular swimming and diving held at the Jersey Swimming Club Bathing Pool, Havre des Pas. Mr Horsfall went to the assistance of Mr D Romeril and Mr C Watts who had got into difficulties whilst low water fishing at l'Etacq, getting both men to safety despite hazardous conditions [see JEP 1/9/1961 p 6 and 7, and JWP 9/9/1961 p 10].
