Correspondence between R R Lempriere, Viscount and H G Pierrepoint concerning the execution of Thomas Connan, includes; receipts from E Le Neindre, Watches, Clocks, Jewellery Repairs, 13, Hilgrove Lane used as evidence in the case, papers found on Connan at the time of his arrest, photographs of the gallows at Newgate Street Prison, inquest verdict on the body of Thomas Connan and instructions on the building of a gallows and carrying out of the execution and papers concerning the imprisonment of Conan's sister, Marie Françoise Le Guen.
