Fourteen year old David Minty had not only become the youngest person to swim around Jersey with a time of ten hours, 54 minutes and 30 seconds that he set in August, but he had also become the fastest Channel Islander to swim the English Channel after setting a time of 11 hours and 30 minutes over the night of the 7th September.
