Context:

C/B Minutes of States of Jersey Major Committees. Following recommendations from the Clothier Report of December 2000 the States of Jersey moved to the current Ministerial system of Government. The minutes within this section are from the old Committee system of Government and some date back to the 18th Century. This section includes major committees and also the committees from the period of the German Occupation. For minor committees and other States bodies please see C/C and C/D.

C/B/K Public Services Committees, 1906 - 1961. Initially the Public Works Committee, then the Public Services Committee which became part of Transport and Technical Services. The functions of TTS are now administered by the Department for Infrastructure. Also includes minutes of Sewerage Board later the Resources Recovery Board.

C/B/K/C/1 Set of photographs of Elizabeth Castle. Half the photographs were taken in 1922 by E. Guiton, the other half were taken in 1984 showing exactly the same view of the castle, over 60 years later.

C/B/K/C/2 Set of Photographs of the return of the cannons from the Grand Battery of Elizabeth Castle, to Jersey. Includes pictures of the cannons on a ship in the Jersey harbour. This set of photographs has been taken by Senett and Spears Ltd., Photographers. Also includes a photograph of Library Place, St Helier and four unidentified photographs of a staircase. Undated.

C/B/K/C/3 Set of Photographs of the maintenance, restoration and repair work of the fabric of the following fortifications in the Channel Islands; Fort Henry, La Crete Fort, Fort Regent, La Cotte, Kempt Tower Battery, Portelet Tower, L'Etacquerel Fort, Elizabeth Castle, St Marys Priory Chapel, and Old Fishermens/Quarrymens Cottages.

C/B/K/C/4 Set of Photographs of the maintenance, restoration and repair work of the fabric of Mont Orgueil Castle. Also includes a set of photographs relating to the discovery of unexploded shells in the Grand Battery of the Castle, and their subsequent disposal. Includes a small number of photographs of Pendennis Castle, Falmouth.
