Testament of Mary Hammond of Samarès, widow of James John Hammond. Dated 18/11/1806. Bequeaths to Philip Vivian and Clement Guilliaume, £200 reduced 3% annuities to preach the Gospel in foreign parts, to the poor, £40 reduced 3% annuities, to Catherine De Ste Croix, her maid, £60 reduced 3% annuities, to James Hammond, £100 reduced 3% annuities, remainder of estate to her son Thomas Hammond including a debt due to her husband from the House of Faro. Codicil added: 13/01/1809, gives the previous bequest to Philip Vivian and Clement Guilliaume to Reverend Dr Coke, General Superintendent of the missions under the methodist conferance
