Context:

C/B Minutes of States of Jersey Major Committees. Following recommendations from the Clothier Report of December 2000 the States of Jersey moved to the current Ministerial system of Government. The minutes within this section are from the old Committee system of Government and some date back to the 18th Century. This section includes major committees and also the committees from the period of the German Occupation. For minor committees and other States bodies please see C/C and C/D.

C/B/J Health and Social Services Committee, 1844 - 1960. Originally called the Sanitary Committee with a separate Committee for Drainage from 1844 - 1937, these then became the Public Health Committee which included Sanitary, Hospital and St Saviour's Hospital sections after the Second World War.
