Image which relates to the opening of Jersey Zoo at Easter time 1959 and features children looking at an Indian python in the Reptile House at Jersey Zoo, Les Augres Manor. The Reptile House was the work of Lee Thomas, who had spent his whole leave from National Service in Belgium, organising the comfort of the snakes and other reptiles.The negative was scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as a high quality jpg file. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
