Scope and Content | Relates to interview between Detective Constable Adrienne Ruddlesden, Chief Inspector Davidson and Witness 780 dated 28 August 2008. Concerns Witness 780's residency at Les Chênes Residential Home from around 1979 at the age of 12. Details Witness 780's admission to Les Chênes, mentioning placement in cells for first days, and then joining the children in the main building. Lists other children resident at Les Chênes at the same time, mentioning his roommate. Recounts staff from Les Chênes, including Mario Lundy. Describes having liked a member of staff and Mario Lundy due to their support and interest in sport. Recalls behaviour of residents, and restraint used by staff towards residents. Details Witness 780's corrections concerning some allegations made by former residents relating to physical abuse. Refers to ability to collect points in the points system to allow him to go home on weekends. Refers to Witness 780's appreciation of the food at Les Chênes and the activities and sports on offer. Witness 780 recalls joining Highlands College at age of 16 after passing his Certificates of Secondary Education, and continuing to sleep at Les Chênes until age of 17.
