Scope and Content Provides a chronology of an incident of Witness 171 having taken an overdose of tablets. Gives details of events leading up to the incident, response of staff upon discovering Witness 171, and the response and comments of [Haut de la Garenne doctor] Dr Taylor upon being informed of Witness 171's condition. Details plan of action put in place to check on Witness 171 throughout the night and steps taken in response of the incident to prevent children from being able to obtain medication. Includes comments about Witness 171's personality and psyche, mentioning problems including violent temper tantrums, theft and propensity for criminal activity. Concludes with action to be taken, mentioning closer supervision of Witness 171, unsuitability of solitary confinement in the detention room as a method of control and urgent need for Witness 171 to reeive psychiatric help.
