Scope and Content | Refers to a previous statement provided to the States of Jersey Police dated 6 March 2008 [C/D/AW/B1/2/1/32/WS000154]. Describes living at Haut de la Garenne between the ages of 9 and 17 from 1965 to 1982 [1972]. Includes recollections of members of staff at Haut de la Garenne including [Ray] Williams, Superintendents [Colin] Tilbrook and [Jim] Thomson, and[Gordon] Wateridge. Comments on hiring policy of staff at Haut de la Garenne, noting tendency to hire people with a military background as a means of controlling the children in residence.
