Scope and Content Includes comments by [Child Care Officers] H J [H Jackson] C A S [Charles Smith] and M P [M Preece] . Includes a note about Witness 400 and his siblings by Child Care Officer Charles Smith, noting that the family continue to remain in their home under close supervision. Refers to a Constable supplying the family with coal and groceries and accepting responsibility for the payment of rent on condition that the family allowance is made over to him. Comments on conditions at the family home, noting efforts made to facilitate redecoration. Makes note of the exclusion of the four eldest children from school on the recommendation of the district nurse because of them having a medical condition. Also includes comments about a family referred by Dr Anthony Williams, noting the placement of the two elder children with an aunt and the admission of the two younger children to Haut de la Garenne due to admission of one parent to the Marie Louise Ward at the Hospital and one parent's inability to cope. Also includes matters relating to adoption and details about children for whom the Education Committee has been asked to act as Guardian ad Litem. Comments on practicality of the [Education] Committee's policy on medical treatment for children in foster homes, seeking approval to meet the accounts for foster children in respect of doctors including Dr J D Cow, Dr D Fullerton, Dr R W Peel Yates and Dr Haydn Taylor.
