Scope and Content Refers to employment at the Children's Service Nursery at Blanche Pierre from 1992 to 2004. Describes the catchment area for the nursery as islandwide and was for children aged 2 to 3 years old. Notes that many children were on the child protection register and referred by a Child Care Officer. Recalls that Witness 143 brought her son to the nursery, noting that that she mentioned to them in conversation about her negative experiences at Haut de la Garenne. Notes that Witness 143 mentioned certain times when she had run away and comments about her stepmother. Also includes recollections of other mothers who brought their children to Blanche Pierre who had unhappy memories of being in the child care system. Includes recollections of one individual who expressed intentions of burning down Haut de la Garenne if afforded the opportunity to do so, noting that she had also been in La Préférence. Includes recollections of a female Children's Service support worker who worked with them for one day at Blanche Pierre.
