Scope and Content Describes being interviewed by Detective Constable [Kim] Newth and Detective Constable [Philip] Holmes in the presence of his counsellor concerning allegations he made against Jane and Alan Maguire to the Police in 1997. Outlines purpose of the statement being to clarify points made in his statement to Police in 1997 [C/D/AW1/B1/11/WS000116] concerning incidents that happened to him whilst at Blanche Pierre [Family Group] Home. Describes incidences of physical abuse by Alan Maguire. Includes descriptions of being force fed meals, being hit by Alan with his hands whilst on a camping trip in France and reference to an incident in France where another individual sustained an injury. Also includes reollections of the van driven by Alan and Jane Maguire. Describes living in a state of fear at Blanche Pierre and recollections of being comforted by a female staff member. States that physical abuse would only be carried out by Alan Maguire, stating that Jane Maguire would often be present so would have been aware of abuse. Describes daily routine at Blanche Pierre as strict, recalling being made to stand at the bottom of the stairs facing the front door as punishment for speaking during bed time. Includes comments about the building at Blanche Pierre, including recollections of the layout of the building recalling that it consisted of two properties, 9 and 10 Le Squez. States to be aware that the court case against the Maguires was dropped since making the complaint to police in 1997, commenting on the trial process. Describes events since the court case was dropped, citing mistreatment as a child whilst in care as reason for problems. Refers to being contacted in prison and being told that the investigation into the Maguires was to be reopened.
