Scope and Content | Includes a lists of members and co-opted members of the Children's Sub-Committee, Children's Office staff including the Children's Officer, Assistant Children's Officer, field staff and administrative staff, and staff at Haut de la Garenne and the Family Group Homes at Clos de Roncier, Clos des Sables, Le Squez and Nicholson Park. Includes comments about the provision available in Jersey to meet the different needs of children, including assessment and short and medium term care at Haut de la Garenne, long term care at the four Family Group Homes and care provided by foster parents. Includes remarks about the annual gathering of foster parents in May referring to a talk by Miss E Pugh of the National Bureau for Co-operation in Child Care on a research project on fostering. Describes major events at Haut de la Garenne, including a visit by the Home Secretary, James Callaghan and Mrs Callaghan with the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Villiers and the official opening of the swimming and paddling pool presented by the Ladies Auxilliary of the Jersey Licensed Victuallers Association.
