Scope and Content	• Letter dated 25 March 1968 from Patricia Thornton, Children's Officer to F N Padgham, Treasurer of the States. Refers to the Education Committee agreeing at a meeting on 20 March 1968 that in special circumstances a foster parent may receive an addition to the Boarding Out Allowance in the amount of £1 per week, with each case approved by the Education Committee on its merits. Advises Mr Padgham of the extra payments agreement so that Boarding Out Allowance can be adjusted for children who are non-native. Notes that as for native children for whom the Boarding Out Allowance is paid by the Constable the additional amount will be paid from Vote 2941, there will be children where only the additional amount will be paid from the States Treasury. • Recommendations to Education Committee for increased Boarding Out Allowances dated 13 March 1968. Provides details of recommendations for increased Boarding Out Allowances in respect of a number of children in the care of the Education Committee. Provides background information about the children in question and reasons for each recommendation.
