Scope and Content Includes discussion about a boat depicted on a postcard and a boat owned by his father-in-law in Gorey Harbour. Refers to the man being shown the postcard depicting boats at Gorey and stating that he is unable to recognise any boats pictured therein. States that he is willing to sign a medical authority to allow the Police to go to his past medical records. Also includes a discussion about a log compiled from the examination of the man’s attendance and the release of children from Haut de la Garenne starting in June 1963. Includes comments about individual children recorded as having gone out with the man on specific dates and comments by the man about having no recollection of taking children out on their own. Includes a discussion about items recovered during a search of the man’s home address including a notebook. Refers to the man confirming that he wrote entries in the notebook relating to his computer, stating that he wrote down addresses of websites relating to boys that he had received as junk mail under the instruction of Demon, his internet service provider, with a view of getting them blocked. Refers to Dave Cabeldu, a computer expert. Sets out details about the indecent nature of the photographs, stating that the boys were between the ages of 12 and 17. States that he printed copies of some of the photographs before destroying them, providing explanation for doing so. States that this activity was done on a computer that he has dumped and was prior to him going to the police to make a complaint against the complainant. Includes a discussion about the man’s previous computer, including cost and type, and refers to advice received that he should buy a new computer. States that he dumped his old computer in August [2003]. Also includes a discussion about a number of photographs of young boys torn out from a magazine which were found during a search of the man's home address. Includes a conversation about the implication of these photographs having been found at the man’s home, comments by the man about the photographs and remarks by the interviewer that it indicates that the man has a sexual interest in young boys. Notes assertion by the man that he has never sexually abused a boy. Also includes comments about the nature of the websites written down by the man in his notebook, noting denial that he ever accessed a chat room.
