| Scope and Content | • Letter dated [12 September] 2008 from [Bill Ogley], Chief Executive to Ian Crich, Director of Human Resources. Refers to a letter dated 11 September 2008 from Mick Gradwell to Bill Ogley disclosing that allegations had been made that Mario Lundy had physically abused children in his care whilst he was employed at Les Chênes and Haut de la Garenne. Asks for the disclosure to be reviewed and to advise whether new issues or appropriate action should be taken. • Letter dated 11 September 2008 from Detective Superintendent Mick Gradwell, States of Jersey Police to Bill Ogley, Chief Executive. [See above]. • Letter dated 16 September 2008 from Ian Crich, Director of Human Resources to Bill Ogley, Chief Executive. Refers to having reviewed Mario Lundy's personal file, stating that he found no indications of any incidents following which might relate to the allegations disclosed in relation to Mr Lundy. Outlines three areas to consider when deciding whether suspension is appropriate, comments about precedent cases regarding other employees. Concludes with recommendation that Mario Lundy should not be suspended but that if the matter came into the public domain his position may be impossible and that Mr Ogley may have little choice but to suspend. Includes comments about the complexity of the situation and difficulty of the decision. • Letter dated 22 September 2008 from Bill Ogley, Chief Executive to Ian Crich, Director of Human Resources. Refers to decision not to suspend Mario Lundy and to ensure that safeguards previously put in place were retained and effective. Also sets out reasons for his decision and remarks about the difficulty of the decision. • Letter dated 23 September 2008 from Bill Ogley, Chief Executive to Detective Superintendent Mick Gradwell, States of Jersey Police.
