Friern Hospital Management Committee which resulted after John Hector Bolam sued the Friern Hospital Management Committee claiming damages for negligence in electro-convulsive therapy treatment administered to him on 23 August 1954, when, during the treatment, he sustained fractures of the pelvis on each side. Sets out details of the case, jury action, and the judgment of J McNair, noting the judgment for the defendants. |
