Scope and Content | Provides context to the Report, referring to an investigation launched on 7 January 2008 by the South Yorkshire Police to investigates allegations regarding the conduct of André Bonjour regarding alleged failures to pursure allegations of historic abuse. Refers concerns raised by Deputy Chief Officer Leonard Harper of the States of Jersey Police over aspects of an investigation conducted by members of the Family Protection Team of the States of Jersey Police into sexual abuse of a young boy which resulted in David Powell and Paul Romeril being charged with serious sexual offences. Sets out details of potential criminal offences and potential discipline breaches committed by André Bonjour. Includes details and background information about the investigating officer, Chief Superintendent Varey and outlines the terms of reference for the investigation.
