Scope and Content Refers to Andrew Jervis-Dykes, a former teacher at Victoria College, convicted of child sex offences in 1999 against former pupils of Victoria College whilst on school trips abroad. States that all of the offences occurred before he joined the school and that he did not personally know anyone who had been a victim. Describes his experience of being the student editor of the school magazine, The Victorian duing the period that the Jervis-Dykes case was being covered in the local media, noting discussion amongst his student colleagues on the magazine regarding the inclusion of a piece in the magazine covering the Jervis-Dykes case. Describes subsequent events culminating in his resignation from the magazine, including comments about the behaviour by Jack Hydes and remarks about the response of teachers to his actions. Also refers to speaking to Stephen Sharp about his experience and refers to a conversation with Richard Pirouet, Chairman of the Victoria College Board of Governors, about the publication of an article on the Jervis-Dykes case. Refers to to resignation of Jack Hydes and Piers Baker as a result of the conclusions of the Sharp Report, and describes a letter of thanks received from the Acting Headmaster Philip Stephenson [Stevenson].
