Scope and Content	Refers to allegations of sexual abuse made by [a former resident of Clos des Sables Family Group Home] against Leslie Francis Hughes, setting out details of a statement recorded from [the former resident], denial and subsequent admission of guilt in respect of the complaint by Hughes, details of further questioning of Hughes by Det Sgt [Detective Sergeant] [Robert] Bonney and details of the formal charging of Hughes by [Centenier George Upton] on 26 March 1989. Details further allegations made by other individuals against Hughes, direction by Crown Advocate Cyril Whelan that charges be preferred against Hughes in relation to offences committed against particular persons, the formal charging of Hughes with these offences on 26 June 1989, and pleas of guilty in principle recorded in respect four of the five charges against Hughes. Refers to Hughes being remanded on bail for a Royal Court appearance by Robin Short, Magistrate on 31 July 1989.
