Scope and Content Relates to refusal by the Attorney General Tim Le Cocq to reveal the reasons for not extraditing and prosecuting Alan and Jane Maguire in respect of alleged grave and criminal and common assaults, citing risk of political influence on the legal process. Refers to decision to discontinue the prosecution in 1997 and decision to not reinitate proceedings taken by William Bailhache during the historic child abuse inquiry. Includes comments by Mr Le Cocq and refers to questions asked of him by Deputy Montfort Tadier. Includes an article titled Former Chief Minister 'was overheard conspiring to remove police chief' relating to an allegation by Trevor Pitman that a States Member had heard a conversation between Senator Frank Walker and Deputy Andrew Lewis (Home Affairs Minister) in which Senator Walker conspired to remove Graham Power from office.
