Scope and Content Includes a preface outlining the roles and responsibilities of the Police Service to protect and safeguard children. Contains two parts: • Part One - Investigating Child Abuse. Includes four sections setting out guidance regarding a number of matters relating to: managing the police response to investigating child abuse; the initial police response to concern for a child; police responses and multi-agency working to safeguard children; and further investigation and other police action. • Part Two - Investigating Complex Child Abuse.
