Scope and Content • States request consultation over any proposed recommendations. Relates to comments by Advocate Beverley Lacey on behalf of the States of Jersey in its final submission to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry stating that recommendations made by the Inquiry should be subject to consultation before they are finally submitted. • Harper 'completely out of touch with modern policing'. Relates to comments by Oliver Glasgow QC on behalf of the Law Officers' Department in its final submission to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry stating that Lenny Harper was completely out of touch with modern policing in respect of his handling of Operation Rectangle and in particular his attitude to the media. • Police ask panel to consider all its work, not just Operation Rectangle. Relates to comments by Advocate Jeremy Garrood on behalf of the States of Jersey Police in its final submission to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry urging the Inquiry to look at all of the police's work rather than focusing just on Operation Rectangle. • States must not interfere.
