Images of an official ceremony at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day. The images include the colours of the Royal Jersey Militia carried by Second Lieutenants Crill and Holt, the Sergent de Justice H V Benest carrying the Mace, His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Major General Martelli and the Bailiff Alexander Coutanche laying wreaths, the Dean Of Jersey Reverend W C H Fell, and Buglars of the Militia, and of the Army Technical School [see JWP 19/11/1938 p 1 and 6]. The images were produced from the negatives depicted in Contact Sheet 10 of Red Contact File 11 from the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive.
Negatives have been scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the images is dependent on the condition of the original.
