Scope and Content | Includes newscuttings of: an article about the trial of John George Lingshaw charged with having committed an infraction of the Textile and Footwear (Local Distribution) Order 1941 by selling a reel of cotton to Lilian Edith Le Riche née Collis without holding a licence; an article about individuals sentenced by the German Court Martial for offences including raising prices of tobacco, careless driving and producing and distributing leaflets; and a notice by the Field Commandant urging care of German cables and wires is taken during the harvest. Red Cross message refers to Glad [Gladys Jackson, née Carling]. |
