Scope and Content | Also includes newscuttings of: a notice regarding the surrender of the oat ration for horse owners to maintain the breakfast food ration; a notice by the Department of Essential Commodities permitting access to the beaches to obtain salt water; notices by the Department of Essential Services regarding a programme of morning cut-offs and notice regarding evening cut-offs in respect of the electricity supply; a notice by the Department of Transport and Communications regarding extracts from an order relating to the use of cars and motor cycles, use of lorries and sale of motor vehicles; an article about the removal of trees and bushes and gutting of empty houses; an article about the burial of a seventh American servicemen at Howard Davis Park Cemetery; a notice regarding the cessation of laundry services; directions under the Rationing (Jersey) Order 1940 regarding the suspension of the salt ration and the cessation of the sugar ration; and an article about arrangements for the transmission for the transmission to the Protecting Power. |
