Images of Elizabeth Castle taken in 1936 before the German Occupation. The images include the castle and barracks with canons in the foreground, the wooden bridge to the castle entrance, and the castle doors [see JWP 4/4/1936 and 18/4/1936]. The images were produced from the negatives depicted in Contact Sheet 18 of Red Contact File 2 from the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive.

Negatives have been scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the images is dependent on the condition of the original.
