Copy of a letter from Richard C Rogers of 99 Gore Road Hackney to Mr H W Webb, he writes of his wife's incapacity and that she has now been taken from him. He asks that Mr Webb take on the management if his affairs in conjunction with those of his relative Miss Harriet Frances Crawford. A second letter is enclosed from Fanny Crawford [Harriet Frances] to her mother Charlotte Crawford Harding. She writes that she finds that Mrs Pack has been left in charge of Richard and she has been left £300, Mrs Pack desired that she [Mrs Charlotte Crawford Harding] would look after Richard and always had done. She relates that someone needs to have power of attorney for Richard and that this has now been attended to by Mr Webb. Fanny continuues at length about the matter of who should act for Richard and then relates that there is a half brother George Rogers who appears troublesome and that she has instructed Webb to find out who he is and what claim he has. She writes that he is a coal merchant who looks like Doctor Dunlop and has 7 daughters. Mrs Rogers is about the same, the doctors think she will succumb to weakness because her mouth is slightly paralysed and she cannot get her teeth in. She finishes with a note that she has just received a charming note from Mr Webb and that she thinks that they will work well together
