Image of a group portrait of men of the 131 Parachute Engineer Regiment, who had landed at Jersey Airport in the Blackburn Beverley aircraft XH121 Z of Royal Air Force (RAF) Transport Command. They were due to do a parachute drop near to Guernsey but because of the wind direction the jump had been postponed [see JWP 23/5/1959 p 1]. The image was were produced from the negatives depicted in Contact Sheet 11 of Red Contact File 28 from the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) Photographic Archive.
Negatives have been scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as high quality jpg files. The quality of the image is dependent on the condition of the original.
