Image of Mr E Hacquoil, mare Madame with her brass work and Lé Hèrnais à Êclon, an old Jersey hay cart and example of the local craft of Charron or wheelwright, which was presented to La Societe Jersiaise by Mr F J Ahier of La Chasserie, St Lawrence, where the image was taken. The cart was originally built by Jean Trachy of La Grand Route, St Lawrence [see JWP 16/10/1954 p 1].The negative was scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as a high quality jpg file. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
