Image which includes Centenier C E Vibert of St Brelade at the reins of the 1900 St Brelade horse drawn fire engine. The fire engine was to be housed at the Societe Jersiaise's new agricultural building at La Hougue Bie, for which the foundation stone had just been laid by Francis Le Boutillier, Constable of St Ouen and President of the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society [see JWP 20/8/1955 p 4].The negative was scanned at 1200 dpi and can be downloaded as a high quality jpg file. The quality of the scanned image is dependent on the condition of the original.
