Papers and articles regarding the USS Scuttlebutt, also known as the USS PC 564, that on the night of 8th March 1945 was attacked in a raid off Granville lead by German troops from the Channel Islands and as a result the craft was beached on the French coast and men were lost to death and as prisoners of war in Jersey. Includes an article by Margaret Ginns entitled 'The Missing Link-The U.S.S. PC 564', copies of documents regarding the incident, newsletters of the USS PC564 Scuttlebutt, accounts of the night by eye-witnesses and transcripts of interviews with unidentified German troops regarding the island of Jersey.
