Images of a public meeting at St John's Parish Hall regarding plans put forward by the Island Development Committee (IDC) to build a car crushing plant at the La Collette reclamation site. Pictured on the panel on stage in Images D and E are, from left to right, Senator John de Carteret, Deputy Terry Le Main, Deputy Alfred Durell Le Brocq, Constable of St John Wilfred Janes Tomes, Rector of St John the Reverend Peter Geoffrey Kevitt Manton and Senator Dick Shenton. IDC President Deputy Pierre Horsfall [C, K and L] and St John Centeniers John Le Sueur [F, far right] and P J Le Marquand [H and I, seated in front of the man standing] are also pictured at the meeting.
