Images of a public meeting at St John's Parish Hall regarding plans put forward by the Island Development Committee (IDC) to build a car crushing plant at the La Collette reclamation site. Pictured on the panel on stage in A and B are, from left to right, Senator John de Carteret, Deputy Terry Le Main, Deputy Alfred Le Brocq, Constable Wilfred Tomes, Rector of St John the Reverend Peter Manton and Senator Dick Shenton. Centenier John Le Sueur [M and N, standing] and headmaster Doug Gibaut [G - I] are also pictured at the meeting. Please see also L/A/75/A3/4/1094A.
