Scope and Content

Gives details of arrangements concerning the placement of Witness 31 into foster care. Includes descriptions of meetings between the Witness 31's biological father and prospective foster parents, and the child's former transfer to from Brig-y-Don into foster care. Provides an account of the Witness 31's initial behaviour, reaction and response to life in foster care. Includes a description of an incident dated 19 July 1977 whereby it was agreed that the child should spend the night with their prospective foster parents. The couple's car broke down and were thus unable to return the child to Brig-y-Don after a day out. References the Reverend Halliwell, Children's Officer C A Smith and Child Care Officer Mr Elliott.
