Describes children's intelligence surpassing that of parents, and children's embaressment and resentement towards parents. Refers to Witness 28, his personality and education at Le Rocquier School. Comments on concern growing whilst Witness 28 was at Haut de la Garenne over his attitude and behaviour. Details Witness 28's employment upon leaving school, and his transfer to Basil Lodge Hostel, run by the Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship. Describes Witness 28's growing truculent and anti-social behavour once at Basil Lodge Hostel, loss of employment, and offences committed. Refers to Witness 28's placement on remand at Les Chênes Residential School, and his return to Haut de la Garenne. Describes Witness 28's behaviour as having detoriated since his return to Haut de la Garenne.
