1. Memorandum dated 25 April 1978 from J Thomson, Superintendent [Haut de la Garenne] to Senior Child Care Officer A J Skinner. Relates to an incident named Whiskey Galore whereby children, including Witness 122, stole and smuggled a bottle of whisky into Haut de la Garenne. Notes that the children proceeded to drink the whisky in a den at the home. Describes response of a male member of staff upon learning of the incident, citing corporal punishment of the children involved and placement of one child into detention. Includes a note relating to the dismemberment of the den. 2. Letter dated 24 February from D R McGregor, Headmaster, Le Rocquier School to J Thompson [Thomson], [Superintendent], Haut de la Garenne. Refers to Witness 122's involvement in a pin or compass point game, and a discussion between Thomson and Witness 122 about the dangers of the game.
