Details contact with Witness 339's mother, previously employed at Haut de la Garenne with Witness 339's father. Refers to Witness 339's discussion with her mother regarding Witness 339's conversation with Detective Constable Jim Singleton regarding abuse Witness 339 suffered from her father. Refers to Witness 339's mother's claim she never saw Witness 339's father exhibit agression towards a child, despite unkindness towards Witness 339's brothers. Comments that she did not find out about abuse until Witness 339 told her. Refers to Witness 339's brothers having shut the door on their childhood [experiences]. Explains that she was never afraid of Witness 339's father, despite thinking he might kill her. Describes Witness 339's father as dominating, an alcoholic, and physically abusive towards her. Refers to other's surprise when she told them Witness 339's father had given her a black eye. Describes Witness 339's father as unreasonable and self-centred. Refers to Witness 339's 18th birthday party, and Witness 339's father's interest in guns, mentioning that the interest began in Jersey where he would shoot rabbits Recalls that Witness 339's father was involved with a charity, and that he met her at Birmingham Airport, describing his attire at the time. Mentions leaving Witness 339's father and moving into a seperate flat. Explains that she never made a complaint to the Police whilst living with Witness 339's father, noting that she put up with the abuse, as she had with her mother's abuse before. Explains that Witness 339's father left one of Witness 339's brothers out of his will, making Witness 339 and her other brother the executors. Mentions that Witness 339 did not tell her brother this to prevent upsetting him. Refers to Witness 339 being told off by the same brother for talking to the Police about the holiday video [of the family at Haut de la Garenne], and the brother's fear that allegations against their father will tear the family apart. Notes that when Witness 339's father's mother was dying, Witness 339's father did not telephone or visit her.
