Refers to media coverage concerning Haut de la Garenne prompting her to contact Police. Details experiences of Haut de la Garenne during her time as house mother to the younger boys from early 1963 to late 1965. Describes initial interview by Haut de la Garenne [Superintendent] [Colin] Tilbrook, and mentions other staff, including [George] Mallinson. Describes level of surveillance at Haut de la Garenne, over both staff and residents. Comments on the high turnover of staff during her tenure, suggesting that the States of Jersey Children's Department should have questioned this high turnover early on. Comments on her recollections of Witness 347, mentioning his vulnerability and his mother's mental health issues. Recalls incident in which [Colin] Tilbrook claimed Witness 347 had burnt a shoe in the gas boiler in the kitchen, and therefore needed to be punished.
