Refers to an Approved School Order made in respect of Witness 355 after pleading guility to larceny. Notes that the Court ordered that Witness 355 should be sent to an Approved School and in the meantime sent to Haut de la Garenne and that Witness 355's father should pay a weekly contribution toward his son's maintenance. [C/D/AW1/A3/6/1/42/WD001508]. Refers to a letter dated 11 December 1964 from the Children's Officer [Patricia Thornton] to the Attorney General [H F C Ereaut] recommending that Witness 355's case be reconsidered with a view to a committal to the care of the Education Committee following report concerning positive response of Witness 355 since his admission to Haut de la Garenne. [C/D/AW1/A3/6/1/42/WD001511]. Varies the [Approved School] Order so that Witness 355 be committed to the care of the Education Committee and detained at Haut de la Garenne and directs that Witness 355's father should pay to the Prison Board a weekly contribution towards the cost of maintaining Witness 355 at [Haut de la Garenne.
