Refers to Thomas Hamon being charged by Centenier Scaif [Scaife] of St Helier on 27 October 2005 with 13 offences of historic indecent assaults relating to the time he was associated with Haut de la Garenne and St John Ambulance. Notes subsequent contact made by a former male resident of Haut de la Garenne following reporting of Hamon's Magistrates' Court appearance in the Jersey Evening Post whereby the individual outlined sexual abuse by Hamon whilst in residence at the home. Also refers to the former male resident implicating a female member of staff in the abuse, asserting her involvement and awareness of aspects of the abuse described. Notes Hamon's guilty plea to 10 of the 13 charges on 24 November 2005, an reservation of plea for the 3 other charges including the charge brought in respect of Haut de la Garenne. Notes that Hamon again appeared in the Magistrates Court on 8 December 2005 and pleaded guilty to 12 of the 13 charges and the case was remanded to the Royal Court for indictment.
