Describes circumstances in 2001 leading to his brother revealing that he had been sexually abused at Haut de la Garenne by an older resident named Michael Aubin. Describes the long term consequences of Michael Aubin’s abuse on Witness 206’s younger brother, mentioning on difficulties maintaining relationships. Discussed abuse with his younger brother in February 2008 after learning about [Operation Rectangle] on the Jersey news, mentioning that his brother had been alerted to the investigation by the national United Kingdom news. Spoke to his brother three or four weeks prior to providing his second statement to States of Jersey Police, due to learning of Michael Aubin’s trial in the media. States that he has not spoken to the media, and none have approached Witness 206. States that he is willing to give evidence in court if required.
