Refers to Miss E F Campbell, Matron, Haut de la Garenne not being successful in obtaining a place on the short course Residential Care: Staff Development through the Supervision Process, arranged jointly by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work and the National Institute for Social Work. Includes minutes relating to Haut de la Garenne. Refers to the allocation of funding for children from Haut de la Garenne who attend Le Rocquier School to go on an educational visit to France. Discusses view that residents of Haut de la Garenne should be encouraged to work in the gardens. Expresses concern over the amount of regularity of drugs dispensed to children at Haut de la Garenne, noting number of children receiving regular medication prescribed by consultants and reason for use of medication. Includes discussion about the rules to be observed concerning corporal punishment, particularly in respect of girls, and food to be provided to children placed in detention.
